Acts 1: 7-8: He said to them: “It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority. 8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.

📖 For 40 days after the resurrection Jesus appeared multiple times to the apostles & others to perform miracles giving irrefutable proof he was the Son of God & he was alive. Acts begins with the final appearance to his chosen disciples & he provides his last instruction. Luke gives account of the last words Jesus says on Earth before his ascension. Luke’s theology has parallels to the son of man who Daniel saw & then that was exalted. This again fulfilling the old testament scriptures (Dan 7)
✝️ This year I have tried to put into practice these last instructions from Jesus. I have put more time into pausing for prayer, practicing patience & knowing it is God’s plan which is beyond my understanding. As a lover of world travel these last words remind me to carry His light with me no matter where I am in the world & spread His love to those of any culture with my actions.
💭This passage fell in a time in which I traveled to see the land of Greece & the Island of Crete. I shared in fellowship & celebrating the Greek Orthodox Christian beliefs & attended events during their Holy Week.I will share more in upcoming posts.
