🐱Matthew 9: 18-26 : Parallels: Mark 5: 25-34, Luke 8: 43-48
📖 The Gospels (Matthew,Mark,Luke, John) are filled with parallels as they are stories related to their eyewitness of events. The first 3 are called “synoptic gospels” because they are similar in how they tell a story. John, is less like the other 3 as he covered a different timespan & places ,mainly in Judea.The story of the sick woman occurred in Galilee & was reported by Matthew, Mark&Luke. When you hear a story from a friend you might have doubt, but when 2 more of your friends tell you the same story w/ even more detail you come around to believing that story. When studying the first 4 books of the New Testament there are multiple instances of events that are told in each. This reinforcement of multiple eyewitness accounts of miracles builds on the Truth of God’s Word.
✝️ If you know my testimony this verse forever changed my heart a year ago, but when reading & studying it this year, the parallel account from Luke sparked my fire. As he tells it, after sneaking a touch of Jesus’ cloak the woman was healed. Feeling his power had been used, Jesus looked for who had touched him.He searched for this person in a large crowd of people. Luke 8:47, then trembling & in fear of the power of Jesus, the woman, courageously in front of all the people fell to his feet & admitted she had touched him & been healed. She confessed she reached for Jesus & gave the Lord the glory in front of the crowd.
💬Today I will add my eyewitness account of Jesus healing a sick woman:
📣I reached for Jesus & he healed me. My trust is in the Lord. All I can do to repay him is be as bold as a lion & say Hallelujah!
🙏🏻🐈Oh heavenly Father, Hallelujah! Today we praise your healing in our lives & ask for healing for those still searching. Let us fall to your feet & reach for you so all of our hearts may be healed. In your name we pray and all of God’s children say, Amen.
