My best friend for LIFE & I did all the youth activities at church growing up, but to openly pray at school in front of people?!? Nope, not gonna do it! I would never deny my faith if asked & certainly would stand up for Jesus when called to, but it took me 20 more years to find that courage to publicly say “I pray” & “pause for prayer” no matter where I was. It took seeing others share their Faith openly that brought that boldness out of me! I am proud to say that my BFF & her husband have raised Bold Christian Lion cubs! Their multi-talented daughter, Sadie, & her swim mates “paused for prayer” openly on the platform before their High School State Qualifying meet & then again before their TX State prelim swim. When I saw the pictures I couldn’t help but feel inspired. You are never too old or too young to influence someone when being an example of God’s love. Children leading with Faith!
God was speaking to me to step out of my comfort zone and be BOLD in my faith. Using the plan God has already laid out with Praying With Puko, I have felt called to go bigger. Inspired by that moment, the “pausing for prayer” and “Praying With Puko”, Paws 4 Prayer™ was born.

Heavenly Father, Protect the People in my life & let your will fill their hearts. Lord, I praise your grace & promises of unconditional love. Oh Lord forgive my backsliding, give me strength and discipline to try better & grant me pardon of my sins. Almighty Father let me use the Words of your Truth to put into practice in my life for your glory today and always. Let the world see your light shine through my actions. In your name I pray, Amen.

Cancer, Chemo and my Cat
Even though I have been researching Cancer most of my life there isn’t a much better patient to study than when it happens to yourself. I pray each day that I can keep this part of my life in the past, but also want to use my experience to help anyone looking for encouragement or tips that I used when battling the “ugly monkey”.
While sharing my testimony I get a lot of questions about Cancer and the chemo, so I put together some notes from my experience.
God created a fire in me to feed the need for a Purpose in my life. Praying With Puko is a monthly prayer journal for those new to Christ or life-long Christians. I encourage you follow along and journal for yourself, and also for parents, children, families to journal together to build a stronger family relationship with God and focus prayers for your family each month.
I felt I lacked purpose in my life and that this also was true in my prayer life. It wasn’t until I began praying with intent that I found fulfilment in the meaning of God’s Word. Instead of just letting the Bible fall to a passage, I found a study structure by choosing passages from books, devotionals, online bible studies and journaling the scriptures and prayers. A prayer journal helped me understand my own prayers as well as God’s plans for me.
I committed to not just being a believer, but truly growing my relationship with God. I am not a theologian or a teacher, so these are passages chosen directly from my journaling. This is simply my example of my prayer life that helped me in my Christian Walk. I pray each of you use this as a step in building your relationship with God. (Ephesians 1:17-19)
